Independent games store, Eclectic Games, won Retailer of the Year at the Reading Retail Awards 2014.
The awards ceremony at the Reading Hilton Hotel, presented by ITV Meridian’s Sangeeta Bhabra, showcased many of Reading’s best shops and restaurants. Independent retailers, Wordplay and T&T Nails also picked up awards while John Lewis Reading went home with two awards and Specsavers won the customer service award.
In the restaurant categories, Cerise picked up the top award of Restaurant of the Year, while Zest won Lovely Lunch and Quantum Internet Café won Favourite Coffee Shop.
Reading UK CIC, which manages Reading Business Improvement District on behalf of the businesses within the district, said: “We have watched the Retail Awards grow spectacularly in the past five years to reflect the strength and range of the shopping and dining out scene in the town.
