Reading town centre’s annual celebration of the best of Reading food, Eat Reading, will take place as usual on the first weekend in June and Reading’s restaurants and food traders are invited to come and join the party.
On Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 June, many of Reading’s finest restaurants, along with a world of street food traders, will be taking to the street to set up food stalls along the length of Broad Street.
A giant 20 metre-long dining table will be the place to enjoy your food and make some new friends in the centre of Broad Street. You can also buy lunch from one of Reading’s many food retailers. There will also be entertainment. Eat Reading will be followed two weeks later by the third Reading Chilli Festival.
Yulia Syrovoiskaia, Events Executive at Reading UK CIC, said: “Eat Reading has been a fixture in the Reading calendar every June for the last seven years. This year will be no different as Broad Street becomes the focal point for a giant foodie get together. It’s a chance to try food from many of Reading’s best restaurants or sample cuisines you may never have tasted before while having fun and making some new friends.
“There are lots of new restaurants opening in Reading and we hope they will take the opportunity to come and show off their cuisine.”
Eat Reading 2017 is the brainchild of Reading UK CIC and is managed by Southern Market Traders, who operate the successful CHOW street food market in Reading every Friday.
There is still time for Reading restaurants and food traders to get involved.
