Reading properties dominate shortlist for Thames Valley Property Awards 2017

Two of the three shortlisted in-town offices of the year are based in Reading:-d2i 9GF 0816 001 web

  • McKay Securities 9 Greyfriars is the first office building in the south east to achieve BREEAM ‘outstanding’ rating. The
    41,381 sq ft is locate din the heart of Reading town centre, two minutes walk from Reading.
  • Thames Tower, Landid and Brockton Capital’s development opposite Reading Station, has already sig
    ned its first tenants, recruitment consultant Austin Fraser . The 14 storey office project is due to open this spring.

Two of the three short-listed deals of the year are also based in Reading:-

  • fcgp 73 webLeading global medical technology company, Becton Dickinson is moving its UK HQ to Winnersh Triangle and is seeking new talent to join its 260 strong office.  The company is consolidating its Oxford and Basingstoke offices in Reading.
  • Mapletree’s purchase of Green Park Business Park from Oxford Properties was one of the biggest UK property deals of 2016 and unsurprisingly is shortlisted for the Thames Valley Awards

Two of the shortlisted developments of the year are also in Reading

  • The University of Reading’s Thames Valley Science Park is under construction for phase one of its development south of the M4
  • SEGRO’s Imperial Way is fully let with a 52,000 sq ft Audi dealership for the Sytner Group alongside DPD’s 37,900 sq ft parcel delivery service.

Reading itself has also been shortlisted as Town of the Year.
