RIVEROFLIGHTDISPLAYLighting up the night sky this Christmas, Reading has 3 spectacular light shows on offer this festive season starting from Thursday 16th November.

Festivities at The Oracle begin Thursday 16th November from 5pm onwards – remaining turned on throughout November and December in the evenings - when their River of Light event gets underway. Broad Street Mall kicks things off on Thursday 16th at 4pm, with their event being hosted by Jack FM personality Neal Veglio whilst X-Factor contestants, Jack and Joel will turn on the lights themselves and be welcoming visitors from 4pm through to 6pm. Local celebrity David Allon, also known as Reading Elvis will be a special guest at the event following a social media campaign to have him host it himself.

Finally on Saturday 18th November, more than 450,000 magical lights and eight metre bauble tree will be unveiled in the town centre during the afternoon from 12:30pm onwards, accompanied by live festive music in Broad Street courtesy of Reading Business Improvement District (BID).
