Better you, better business

An event to help us invest in ourselves and our staff

With so many businesses realising that the success of their business is linked to the health, well-being and happiness of their employees, Reading Abbey Quarter Business Improvement District is putting on Better You, Better Business, a new event to support employees make positive choices around their own health and wellbeing and provide businesses with fresh ideas for their own employee programmes.

Better you, Better Business takes place at Reading Town Hall on the morning of 20 October and will include inspiring talks, physical activities, health screenings, relaxation sessions and informative workshops.

Get tips and guidance for better sleep, eating well to feel well, identifying stress, learn mindfulness or how to establish a work culture to enable creativity, team work and wellbeing. Or get stuck in with practical sessions working with clay, creating a green space in your office, getting arty with painting, having a go at glass fusing or developing improvisation techniques based on the theatre.

In addition, there will be key note presentations including; Unleash your creative juices (Mark Mason of Design Thinking); The importance of creativity in business (Tamalia Reeves, MadebyTamalia); Wellbeing is key in the workplace (Nicole Coulson, Lifestyle Manager Mapletree UK Management Limited).

Whether you are interested in taking the best possible care of your own welfare or you have a team or business to manage, Better You, Better Business will provide you with a wealth of inspiration.”

Better you, Better business takes place at Reading Town Hall - 8.30am – 1.00pm on 20 October. Tickets cost just £10 with the proceeds going to local young people mental health charity No.5.
