Reading Central BID 2019-24

Reading Central BID logo blockBusinesses in the Reading Central BID area voted to renew the BID for a further five years (2019-24). The vote in favour of Reading Central BID and the new Abbey Quarter BID will generate over £5 million extra investment in initiatives and services to make these areas safer, more attractive, business friendly and connected.

Reading Central Business Improvement District (BID) is an area covered by a member-funded and governed initiative to deliver security, marketing promotions, safer and cleaner streets, exciting seasonal events, cardboard recycling, more customers and better streetscapes for those who live, work and shop here. The current BID’s five-year term runs from 2019-24.  Use the navigation on the right to find out more about the area the BID covers, the BID Business Plan, services, news and contacts.

December 2021 - Reading Green BIDs report

Reading UK, with our Business Improvement District Chairs Andy Briggs and Andrew Whittaker, recently held a ground breaking webinar as part of the Reading Climate Festival with the intention to formalise a 'Green BID framework’. The framework is being designed to recognise what individual companies and the collective BID activities are doing towards reducing our carbon footprint. As part of that process we also plan to identify gaps where we can start planning new 'green' initiatives and services. Read the report>>>
