Have your say on Reading BID renewal consultation


Reading Business Improvement District (BID) is an area covered by a member-funded and governed initiative to deliver security, marketing promotions, safer and cleaner streets, exciting seasonal events, cardboard recycling, more customers and better street scapes for those who live, work and shop here.

The current BID’s five year term ends in March 2019.  That’s why we are asking for feedback from businesses in the BID area on the current BID and your ideas for the renewal ballot planned for January 2019.

Survey CoverThe opinions of those who run the town centre’s businesses are essential in driving Reading forward as a great place to live, do business and spend leisure time. That’s why we’re asking retailers and businesses within the Business Improvement District to tell us about the issues that matter.

The responses we receive are vital in shaping our direction and identifying the top priorities for the town centre Business Improvement District, which will assist us in producing the Reading Business Improvement District proposal – a comprehensive summary of our plans for the future, which will be put to the democratic vote in February 2018. 

Please provide your feedback in the BID 2019-24 Consultation document by the end of July.
