An extravagant array of street food will appear on Broad Street for Reading’s annual foodie festival on 2 & 3 June 2018. Eat Reading is Reading town centre’s annual outdoor culinary celebration as 30 food stalls take over Broad Street for one weekend.
Visitors to Eat Reading will be able to sample mouth-watering cuisine from around the world, including creamy and delicious Portuguese cheeses and meats, succulent British sausages, expertly prepared authentic Thai dishes and perfectly seasoned Greek Souvlaki – to name a few of the 30 stalls.
A giant dining table will be the place to enjoy your food and make some new friends in the centre of Broad Street. There will be entertainment in the form of Reading’s very own steel drum band, RASPO.
Eat Reading 2018 is managed by Southern Market Traders, who operate the successful CHOW street food market in Reading every Friday.
Bobby Lonergan, manager of Reading Business Improvement District, said: “Eat Reading is an exciting date in Reading’s calendar, bringing talented food businesses to Broad Street to showcase their culinary skills.
“Eat Reading has been a huge success in previous years attracting thousands of people to Reading town centre to enjoy the world on a plate. The BID is delighted to bring the authentic flavours of the world to the heart of Reading in a two-day event of good food, good vibes and – fingers crossed – good weather.”
