Reading Pride 2018


readingprideReading Pride returns on September 1st for its 15th year of celebrating the LGBT+ community. It offers a fantastic opportunity to become involved in the day’s festivities with a free-to-enter Pride Parade & Festival.

The #LoveUnites Parade will set off from Queens Walk at 11:15am before turning out towards Broad Street. Turning off of Broad Street the Parade will head to the Forbury Gardens before heading towards Kings Meadow to the Pride site entrance.

Expect a spectacle of noise and colour with music and dance to bring a party atmosphere to the heart of Reading.

On the Pride site you will find the Main Stage, with various performers from the local LGBT+ community and beyond. The Main Stage will be hosted by Sandra London and Wilma Fingadoo, featuring acts such as the Thames Valley Gay Chorus, Richard von Wild, Charlie Moss, Mama G, Lots Holloway, Tara McDonald and many more.

This year Reading Pride is excited to confirm the return of the Pride ALive Stage, featuring fantastic local artists and bands who have ties to the LGBT+ community. There will be original music alongside popular chart hits as well as spoken word performances from several different charities from across the Reading region.

As well as a spectacular Parade and live performances on 2 stages, there will be a vibrant marketplace where businesses and charities will have set up to support the event and offer goods and services to the community.

There will be plenty of options for food and drink so you can keep enjoying the celebrations all day long without needing to leave for refreshments.
