Thames Valley Property Awards 2018


Reading and firms within the town picked up a large number of awards at the Thames Valley Property Awards 2018 onarlingtonbusinesspark Thursday 3 May.

Arlington Business Park – located in Theale, Greater Reading – won the Business Park Innovation award. The Thames Valley is home to numerous significant business parks including the Thames Valley Business Park, Green Park and the newly opened Thames Valley Science Park.

Apex Plaza – located in the heart of Reading on Forbury Road – picked up In-Town Office of the Year. The newly opened Thames Tower also received recognition in this category following its opening last year.

RDNGTWNCNTR APEXPLAZA 061217Frasers Property – located in London – won the Property Deal of the Year award,  for their £725 million acquisition of four southern business parks including Reading’s Winnersh Triangle. Finalists in that category also included 9 Greyfriars Road and Westcore – located on Kings Road – for their deal at Kennet Place with Instant Offices.

Thomas Homes’ development of 16-40 London Road in Reading won the Residential Development of the Year award, sponsored by Savills.

Simon Dimmick of Blandy & Blandy – located in Friar Street – also received a personal award for Outstanding Contribution, sponsored by McKay Securities.  Other Reading finalists and winners included Alice Hilliard of Campbell Gordon and Morgan Singleton-Fookes, ESI Consulting in the Young Property Person of the Year award category, Boyes Turner and Blandy & Blandy (Property Law Firm winner and finalist respectively). RARE won the Fast Rising Property Business award, Lambert Smith Hampton  picked up Offices Consultancy of the Year award, Sharps Commercial  won Industrial/Logistics Consultancy of the Year and Vail Williams won the Property Client Service award.
